Trava Renovations Inc. is a growing commercial construction company serving the Greater Toronto Area. We specialize in commercial interior renovations, including metal stud framing, drywall, taping, painting, acoustic ceilings, and related interior finishes.

We are seeking an experienced, organized, and detail-oriented Intermediate Construction Estimator to manage our estimating and tendering requirements.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently, managing multiple deadlines, coordinating with suppliers and subcontractors, and preparing accurate, competitive estimates with minimal supervision.

This opportunity is best suited for someone who has a strong background in commercial drywall and painting estimating, along with experience coordinating contracting tenders.

Key Responsibilities

Estimating & Tender Management

- Coordinate and prepare contracting tenders, including multiple subcontractor scopes.
- Review architectural drawings, specifications, addenda, and tender documentation.
- Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for drywall, metal stud framing, insulation, taping, painting, acoustic ceilings, and related interior finishes.
- Prepare labour, material, equipment, and subcontractor cost estimates.
- Develop complete estimate packages, including scope breakdowns, exclusions, clarifications, and pricing recommendations.
- Identify drawing discrepancies, missing information, and potential scope gaps.
- Prepare professional quotations and tender submissions for management review and approval.
- Track tender invitations, deadlines, submissions, and bid results.

Supplier & Subcontractor Coordination





- Request and obtain competitive quotations from suppliers and specialty subcontractors.
- Liaise with subcontractors to clarify project scope, specifications, and pricing.
- Source specialty construction materials and confirm pricing, specifications, availability, and lead times.
- Review and compare subcontractor quotations to ensure complete scope coverage.
- Maintain organized supplier and subcontractor pricing records.

Material Takeoffs & Project Support

- Prepare detailed material lists and quantities for all awarded projects.
- Coordinate with project management to confirm material requirements and project timelines.
- Assist with material pricing and purchasing preparation.
- Prepare estimates and quotations for change orders, extras, and additional work on active projects.
- Review revised drawings, site instructions, and scope changes to determine cost impacts.
- Maintain accurate estimating records, spreadsheets, and project documentation.

Qualifications & Experience

- Minimum 3 years of relevant commercial construction estimating experience preferred.
- Strong experience estimating commercial drywall, painting, metal framing, and interior renovation projects.
- Experience with general contracting tenders and coordinating multiple subcontractor trades.
- Ability to independently review construction drawings and prepare accurate quantity takeoffs.




- Strong understanding of construction materials, labour productivity, installation methods, and project costs.
- Experience preparing complete tender estimates, quotations, and change orders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and construction estimating software.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work within tender deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with STACK estimating and takeoff software is a robust asset.
- Experience with Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or similar estimating platforms.
- Previous experience with commercial interior fit-outs, office renovations, and industrial projects.
- Experience coordinating quotations for mechanical, electrical, flooring, glazing, demolition, and other specialty trades.
- Diploma or degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architectural Technology, or a related discipline is an asset.
- Practical construction or field experience is considered an advantage.

Pay: $35.00-$50.00 per hour
