Keller Engineering Company is a multi-disciplinary engineering and building science firm that provides building and systems assessment and associated repair and renewal consulting services. Since the company’s formation in 1982, Keller Engineering has worked with a diverse range of clients across several markets including condominium, commercial, residential and public buildings.

We are looking for a dynamic, dedicated and hard-working individual to fill a Intermediate Building Science Specialist Role in our GTA/Southern Ontario Office.

Applicants without past engineering consulting or relevant contracting experience will not be considered.

Work Schedule: 37.5 hours per week

Position Description

The Intermediate Building Science Specialist is responsible for overseeing the execution of engineering projects, managing project teams, and ensuring the successful delivery of client-focused solutions. This role bridges high-level project planning and hands-on coordination, balancing technical expertise with leadership and client engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management:

- Lead multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to client

specifications.

- Develop project scopes, timelines, and resource plans in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring quality assurance throughout.

Team Leadership:

- Assign tasks to project team members and oversee their performance.
- Mentor and support team members, fostering professional growth and development.
- Facilitate effective communication within the team and with other departments.

Client Relations:

- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle.




- Ensure client satisfaction by understanding their needs and delivering tailored solutions.
- Provide regular project updates and manage client expectations.

Technical Oversight:

- Review and approve engineering designs, reports, and specifications.
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges during project execution.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Building Science, or related field (P.Eng preferred). College diplomas with construction experience will be considered

Experience: 5+ years in engineering project management.

Skills:

- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).

Schedule / Hours:

- The Project Lead’s schedule will generally align with the company’s standard hours of 8:00 AM to 5 PM, Monday to Friday.
- Due to the nature of the position, the Project Lead may occasionally be required to work additional hours, including evenings or weekends, to support critical projects, meet deadlines, or attend business events. These hours are considered part of the Lead’s regular duties.
- This position is exempt from overtime.
