We are currently hiring Independent Contractors to be On-Call Delivery Driver. Must be able to work 2 to 5 days a week when volume is there, including occasional weekends depending on how busy we get. Runs happen during the day, so you'll need to be available between 8:30 AM and 6 PM on the days you take.
You choose which runs to take. Busy week at home? Say no. Free Tuesday? Say yes and get paid.
Deliver parcels to homes and businesses around Victoria and surrounding areas, scan and track packages, keep your delivery records tidy, and be the friendly face at the door.
What can you earn?
$120–$300 a day, depending on the routes and volume.
REQUIREMENTS
- 1 to 3 years of experience in parcel delivery is considered an asset
- Working experience with companies such as UPS, FedEx, Amazon, or other delivery services is considered an asset
- Owned insured vehicle – Cargo Van or similar
- Valid WCB coverage
- Must be available days between 8:30 am and 6:00 PM
- Proof of a clean driver’s abstract
- Confidence driving in traffic and varying weather conditions
- Ability to enter and exit a vehicle frequently throughout the day
- Solid knowledge of Victoria and the surrounding area
- Reliable, punctual, and responsible
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to follow directions and work independently
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
- Available to start immediately
