We are currently seeking an experienced Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) to join our Preschool team at Tiny Hoppers Barrie.

Job Description:

- Responsible for the supervision, safety, and overall well-being of children during daily programming
- Follow regulations set out by the Ministry of Education and Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit, ensuring all documentation is properly kept up to date
- Ensure the Child Care and Early Years Act and Tiny Hoppers Early Learning Centre policies and procedures are adhered to
- Responsible for ensuring the day-to-day operations of the classroom, playground, and routines are implemented and followed
- Prepare activities and set up the learning environment before the children arrive
- Observations and documentation are conducted daily to support and promote physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development
- Liaise with the Director, co-workers, and all other staff/volunteers
- Communicate any concerns or issues to the Director immediately
- Communicate with families through Tiny Hoppers' corresponding methods,



establishing and maintaining a warm and supportive professional relationship
- Maintain a healthy, safe, and welcoming environment for all children within the class and the Centre
- Attending quarterly staff meetings
- Career development training/workshops
- Attend special events hosted by Tiny Hoppers Barrie as required
- Available to work between the hours of 7:00 am and 5:30 pm

Qualifications:

- Must have an ECE Diploma/Degree from a recognized institution
- Currently registered with the College of ECE and in good standing
- Min. 1 year of experience working with children ages 1 to 5 years
- Working knowledge of the CCEYA, Licensing Act, and “How Does Learning Happen?”

Requirements Upon Hiring:

- Valid Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Screen (within the last 6 months)
- Valid Standard First Aid/CPR Level C (infant/child)
- Up-to-date immunization records (Tetanus and MMR

Pay: Up to $26.36 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
