As our business grows, we are looking to hire a Contractor/Customer Service Representative that would be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service to all contractors, builders and residential customers. At Slack Lumber, we take pride in our work environment. Being an independent business, we provide a unique opportunity for self-motivated individuals to have the flexibility to provide quick solutions to customers.

Job Description

- Deliver excellent customer service to all customers that enter the store and on the phone
- Provide expert advice to customers on appropriate products and services
- Direct customers to the various products that are best suited for their project
- Accurately processe customer sale through the POS system and schedules order delivery
- Maintain inventory levels in the store and ensures shelves are fully stocked and replacement items are ordered
- Assist other departments within the store as needed
- Maintain store and office areas to ensure cleanliness and organization

Qualifications: Education/Experience Requirements:

· A general interest in the construction industry.

· Experience or knowledge of related products and services.

· Vocational training is an asset.





· Construction industry experience is an asset.

Abilities/Skill Requirements:

· Customer-focused approach.

· Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

· In-depth product knowledge.

· Strong attention to detail.

· Proficient in general math and measuring skills.

· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
