Overview

We are seeking a passionate and energetic Grade 3/4 Home Room Teacher to join our dedicated team. This role involves creating an engaging classroom environment that supports the academic, social, and moral development of students in accordance with the Ontario curriculum and Islamic values. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm, strong communication skills, and a commitment to inclusive education.

Duties

- Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with Ontario curriculum standards for Grade 3/4 students
- Foster a positive classroom atmosphere that encourages active participation, curiosity, and respect among students
- Monitor student progress through assessments, observations, and regular feedback, adapting teaching strategies as needed
- Support students’ social-emotional growth by promoting Islamic values, moral development, and inclusivity
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and support staff to ensure each student's individual needs are met
- Utilize technology and Microsoft Office tools to prepare instructional materials and maintain student records




- Provide tutoring or extra support for students requiring additional assistance in core subjects such as Math, English, or French

Requirements

- Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field; certification in teaching
- Proven classroom experience working with children in elementary grades, especially Grades 3 and 4
- Robust communication skills in both languages are highly desirable
- Experience working with children with diverse needs, including those with disabilities or requiring special education accommodations
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and best practices for engaging young learners
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks efficiently
- Proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite for lesson planning and record keeping
- Experience tutoring students in core subjects such as Math or English is an asset
- Ability to create an inclusive classroom environment that respects cultural diversity and promotes positive behavior

Pay: $3,000.00-$3,300.00 per month
