PROTECT THE PROPERTY. PREVENT THE PROBLEM.
A hotel can only deliver exceptional hospitality when the environment behind that experience is safe, reliable, comfortable and exceptionally well maintained.
At Executive Hotels & Resorts, the Maintenance Manager plays a critical role in making that possible.
For more than 40 years, Executive Hotels & Resorts has developed, owned and operated distinctive hotels and resorts in Canada and the United States. As a privately owned hospitality and real estate organization, we combine the resources of an established company with the accessibility, speed and independence of an owner-operated business. Our properties have their own character, markets and opportunities, and our people work close to hotel leadership and ownership.
ABOUT Seaside
Nestled along North Vancouver’s vibrant waterfront, Seaside Hotel is a sophisticated boutique hotel where contemporary elegance meets coastal charm. Known for exceptional hospitality and memorable guest experiences, we take pride in fostering a welcoming, collaborative environment where our team can thrive.
THE OPPORTUNITY
As Maintenance Manager at Seaside Hotel, you will lead the day-to-day maintenance and engineering function and help protect the physical quality, reliability and long-term condition of the hotel.
You will be responsible for preventive maintenance, guest-impacting repairs, building systems, contractors, safety and the physical condition of the property.
You will also play an important role in identifying future capital needs. The strongest Maintenance Managers do not only know what needs to be fixed today. They understand what will need for attention six months, one year and several years from now.
WHAT YOU WILL LEAD

- Prioritize guest-impacting repairs and ensure deficiencies are addressed promptly.
- Conduct regular property, mechanical-area and guestroom-condition inspections.
- Maintain organized work orders, records, inventories and maintenance schedules.
- Monitor recurring repair trends and address root causes wherever practical.
- Maintain awareness of the condition and performance of HVAC, plumbing,
electrical, mechanical and other building systems within the scope of the role.
Team, Contractors & Projects
- Lead, schedule, coach and develop the Maintenance team.
- Coordinate vendors, contractors and specialized trades and ensure work is completed to appropriate standards.
- Support renovations, capital projects and property-improvement initiatives.
- Partner closely with Housekeeping and Front Office to minimize disruption and keep rooms available.
- Ensure maintenance requests are followed through to completion.
- Maintain organized tools, equipment, workshops, storage and mechanical areas and promote responsible care of hotel assets.
Safety, Compliance & Asset Protection
- Support fire/life-safety, emergency preparedness and workplace-safety requirements.
- Maintain required inspections, testing and records applicable to the property.
- Identify emerging capital, equipment-replacement and building-system needs.
- Manage departmental labour, purchasing and operating expenses responsibly.
- Promote a culture of ownership, preventive care and accountability.
- Support safe work practices and appropriate handling, storage and use of maintenance products, materials and equipment.
WHO YOU ARE
You are technically capable, organized and proactive. You walk to a property and notice the things that will become problems if they are ignored. You know how to prioritize what affects the guest today while still protecting the long-term condition of the asset.
You combine practical troubleshooting with disciplined follow-through. You set clear expectations for your team and contractors, communicate well with hotel leaders and understand that strong maintenance leadership is as much about prevention and planning as it is about repair.
