We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Programmer to oversee and drive the success of our high-profile projects.

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Programmer to join our high-end millworking company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing CNC programs, optimizing production processes, and ensuring precise execution of custom woodwork designs. You will work closely with engineers, and production teams to translate CAD drawings into machine-ready programs while maintaining the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. CNC Programming & Setup

- Develop effective CNC programs using software such as AutoCAD, Mozaik and V-Carve
- Set up and troubleshoot CNC routers, milling machines, and other automated woodworking equipment.

2. CAD/CAM & Design Translation

- Work with designers and engineers to interpret architectural drawings, shop drawings, and 3D models.
- Optimize tool paths, cutting strategies, and material usage to maximize efficiency.
- Perform nesting operations to minimize waste in sheet goods.

3. Quality Assurance & Process Optimization

- Conduct test runs and inspections to ensure parts meet design specifications.
- Adjust programs for accuracy, speed, and efficiency while minimizing production errors.
- Maintain and update CNC libraries and tool databases.

4. Collaboration & Troubleshooting





- Work with machine operators to ensure smooth execution of programs.
- Diagnose and resolve CNC programming issues, machine errors, or tooling problems.
- Recommend process improvements and automation opportunities.

5. Documentation & Maintenance

- Maintain program files, machine settings, and production logs.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies.
- Assist in the maintenance and calibration of CNC machinery.

Required Qualifications & Skills

✅ Technical Skills

- Proficiency in CNC programming (G-code, M-code).
- Experience with CAD/CAM software (AutoCAD, Mozaik and V-Carve)
- Knowledge of woodworking techniques, tooling, and materials.
- Familiarity with high-end millwork, cabinetry, and custom furniture production.

✅ Experience & Education

- 5+ years of experience in CNC programming for woodworking, millwork, or furniture manufacturing.
- Degree or certification in Manufacturing, Woodworking, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (preferred).

✅ Soft Skills

- Strong attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot issues.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with designers, engineers, and machine operators.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with 3-axis CNC machines.
- Understanding of lean manufacturing and automation.
- Knowledge of edge banding, carving, and complex joinery techniques.
