Duties

- Greet customers warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit
- Take orders accurately using POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Micros POS, ensuring quick and correct transactions
- Prepare and serve beverages as a barista, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks, maintaining high quality standards
- Handle cash and credit card transactions with precision, demonstrating strong cash handling skills and basic math proficiency
- Assist with food service activities including food preparation, plating, and presentation to ensure freshness and quality
- Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards by following proper food handling procedures and sanitation protocols




- Support the team during busy periods by managing multiple responsibilities such as serving customers, restocking supplies, and managing time effectively
- Prepare takeout and Uber Eats orders
- Clear and clean tables and maintain a clean, welcoming café
- Restock supplies and assist with general café duties

Qualifications

- Previous experience in the food industry or food service environment is preferred; barista experience is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems like TOAST POS or similar technology for efficient cashiering
- Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and excellent communication abilities
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Experience in serving or food preparation roles enhances your suitability for this position
- Must be available for a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Pay: $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
