About the Role

We are looking for a Personal Lines Insurance Broker to join our Edmonton office.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing day-to-day service to personal-lines clients, preparing and negotiating quotes, placing new business, managing renewals, processing endorsements, and providing professional insurance advice.

We are looking for someone who is confident dealing directly with clients, understands the personal-lines market, and can independently manage their workload while working as part of a professional brokerage team.

Key Responsibilities

- Quote, sell, bind, and service personal-lines insurance policies.
- Handle personal auto, home, tenant, condominium, recreational, and other personal insurance products.
- Assess client needs and recommend appropriate coverage.
- Market risks with various insurance companies and obtain competitive terms.
- Handle new business, renewals, endorsements, cancellations, and policy changes.
- Provide timely and professional responses to client inquiries.
- Assist clients with claims-related questions and coordinate with insurers when required.
- Maintain accurate client files and documentation.
- Identify cross-selling and account-rounding opportunities.
- Build and maintain robust, long-term client relationships.




- Ensure all transactions comply with regulatory and brokerage requirements.
- Work closely with insurers, underwriters, and internal team members.

Minimum Requirements

- 1–2 years of proven personal-lines insurance brokerage experience.
- Valid Alberta Level 1 General Insurance Broker Licence or higher.
- Strong knowledge of personal auto and property insurance.
- Experience quoting, binding, and servicing personal-lines accounts.
- Strong communication and customer-service skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple client requests and deadlines.
- Comfortable working on-site in an Edmonton office environment.
- Proficiency with brokerage management systems, insurer portals, and Microsoft Office.
- Clean professional and regulatory record.

Assets

- Alberta Level 2 licence.
- Experience working with multiple insurance markets.
- Strong knowledge of Alberta personal-lines products and underwriting requirements.
- Experience with account rounding and cross-selling.
- Existing client-service or brokerage experience.
