3. Building Code, Municipal & Architectural Compliance

- Apply working knowledge of applicable Alberta building code requirements, including the National Building Code – 2023 Alberta Edition where applicable.
- Review drawings against applicable municipal Land Use Bylaws, Architectural Guidelines, subdivision requirements, and lot-specific restrictions.

- Provide technical drafting support to Estimating, Construction, Sales, Warranty, and other internal departments.
- Respond to technical questions relating to working drawings, dimensions, building details, plot plans, and design coordination.
- Investigate drawing-related construction discrepancies and recommend appropriate revisions or corrective actions.
- Coordinate with relevant team members to resolve conflicts between design documents, site conditions, and construction requirements.

- Communicate progress, technical dependencies, and anticipated delays to the Drafting Production Lead.
- Identify technical risks that may affect project schedules, permit submissions, or construction timelines.
