Job Summary

A Junior Accountant is an entry‑level professional who plays a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting reporting cycles, and ensuring compliance. They work closely with the senior accountant, contribute to daily financial operations, and help uphold the financial health of the organization.

Responsibilities

- Preparing and updating financial statements such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
- Managing accounts payable and receivable — processing invoices, monitoring payments, and reconciling balances.
- Posting journal entries and updating the general ledger to ensure accurate transaction recording.
- Performing bank reconciliations and verifying financial data.
- Assisting with monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.

Skills

Required: Practical accounting and bookkeeping capabilities, including accounts payable and receivable, account and bank reconciliation, account analysis, and use of accounting software.



Clear organization and attention to detail support accurate records and dependable financial reporting.

Preferred: Experience with Deltek Ajera, MS Excel, and familiarity with corporate finance, auditing, or financial services.

Please note this position is a contract position for 12 months, with the possibility to extend into a permanent role.
