Quality Belt Maintenance Ltd. is hiring Experienced Industrial Conveyor Belt Splice Technicians for permanent, full-time positions.

We are looking for skilled, dependable individuals with a minimum of two years of hands-on experience in industrial conveyor belt installation, maintenance, repair and splicing.

Successful candidates will join our field service team, working on industrial conveyor systems at customer facilities throughout Canada and internationally.

This is a physically demanding, hands-on field position that involves working at industrial customer sites, including manufacturing facilities, mines and other heavy industrial environments. Work is performed primarily at customer locations rather than in a traditional shop setting. Applicants must be comfortable working in varying conditions, travelling for assignments and adapting to changing work schedules.

Position details

- Starting wage: $27.50 per hour
- Permanent, full time employment
- Approximately 40 hours per week, plus overtime

Primary responsibilities

- Install, maintain, repair, replace and splice industrial conveyor belts
- Perform mechanical splices and conveyor belt change-outs
- Measure, cut, prepare and align conveyor belting
- Inspect conveyor belts, identify damage and perform necessary repairs
- Operate hand tools, power tools and specialized belt-splicing equipment
- Assist with conveyor belt installation, tensioning and alignment
- Perform scheduled maintenance, plant shutdown and emergency-service work
- Identify potential equipment issues and communicate findings to supervisors and customers
- Maintain tools, equipment and clean,



organized work areas
- Follow all company and customer-site health and safety requirements
- Work independently or as part of a field service crew to complete assigned work safely and efficiently

Experience with hot and cold vulcanized splicing is considered an asset.

Requirements

- Minimum two years of directly related industrial conveyor belt-splicing experience required
- Demonstrated ability to perform industrial conveyor belt installation, maintenance, repair and splicing
- Mechanical aptitude and experience working with industrial tools and equipment
- Valid driver's licence with an acceptable driving record mandatory
- Valid passport mandatory
- Ability and willingness to travel within Canada and internationally, including to the United States
- Availability for overtime and varying schedules, including occasional evenings, nights, weekends and statutory holidays
- Ability to perform physically demanding work in industrial environments
- Ability to work at heights and in confined or restricted spaces with the required training
- Ability to follow technical instructions, safety procedures and customer-site requirements
- Strong work ethic, reliability and ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team
