Voltas Engineering Ltd. is a multidisciplinary engineering consulting firm providing comprehensive engineering design and consulting services across British Columbia. Our expertise includes Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Structural, Civil, Building Envelope, Energy Modelling, Fire Protection, and other building engineering services.

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Plumbing Drafter to join our growing engineering team.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare detailed plumbing design and construction drawings for residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
- Develop plumbing layouts, including domestic water supply, sanitary drainage, storm drainage, and venting systems.
- Prepare drawings for plumbing fixtures, piping arrangements, risers, and equipment connections.
- Coordinate plumbing drawings with architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical disciplines.
- Incorporate engineering markups, revisions, and client/consultant comments into drawings.
- Assist engineers in preparing permit, tender, and Issued for Construction (IFC) drawing packages.




- Ensure drawings comply with applicable BC Building Code, plumbing codes, and project specifications.
- Maintain drawing standards, accuracy, and document control throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications & Skills

- Diploma or certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Building Technology, CAD Drafting, or a related discipline.
- 2–3 years of experience in plumbing drafting or building services design preferred.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential.
- Knowledge of plumbing systems, piping layouts, and building construction practices.
- Familiarity with BC Building Code and applicable plumbing regulations is an advantage.
- Ability to interpret architectural, structural, and engineering drawings.
- Solid attention to detail, coordination, and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
