Job Description

We are looking for a friendly, outgoing and sales-focused Optical Eyewear Sales Associate to join our team.

No previous optical experience or optician licence is required. Training will be provided.

The primary focus of this position is helping customers select eyeglass frames and sunglasses, providing style and fit recommendations, and assisting customers throughout the sales process.

We are looking for someone who enjoys working with people, has an interest in fashion, eyewear and personal style, and is comfortable engaging with customers and making product recommendations.

Experience in retail, clothing, fashion, cosmetics, jewelry, eyewear, customer service or sales is an asset, but not required. We are willing to train the right person.

Responsibilities

- Welcome customers and provide friendly, professional service
- Help customers select eyeglass frames and sunglasses based on style, fit, preferences and budget
- Make product recommendations and assist customers throughout the sales process
- Learn about frame styles, brands and basic lens options
- Assist customers with eyewear purchases, pickups and follow-ups
- Process sales, payments and customer orders
- Answer telephone calls and assist with general customer inquiries
- Schedule appointments as required
- Assist with insurance/direct billing and basic administrative tasks
- Maintain accurate customer information and records
- Keep frame displays attractive, organized and properly stocked
- Assist with receiving and organizing inventory
- Maintain a clean, qualified and welcoming retail environment
- Support the optometrist and other team members with general store operations

Who We're Looking For

No optical experience or optician licence is required.

Previous retail, sales or customer service experience is an asset but not required.

Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35.0 – 40.0 per week
