We are currently looking for a Shop Labourer. The Shop Labourer duties include a variety of tasks that support the production, maintenance and organization of the shop.

Duties & Responsibilities

- Assist in the preparation, cutting, packaging, and assembly of exterior siding products.
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments of siding materials and supplies.
- Accurately document and label received goods; report discrepancies or damaged items.
- Prepare and package outgoing orders and deliveries for job sites and subcontractors.
- Load company trucks or trailers with siding materials according to delivery schedules.
- Maintain shipping logs, inventory records, and receiving documentation.
- Organize and stock siding and accessory materials in designated storage areas.
- Communicate material shortages or inventory issues to the Shop Supervisor.
- Assist with physical inventory counts and maintain accurate inventory levels.
- Coordinate with drivers,



site supervisors, and project coordinators on material delivery needs.
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and other equipment as required.
- Load and unload materials for production jobs.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Operate hand tools and power tools under supervision.
- Support shop staff and production team with daily material handling needs.
- Assist with the painting and preparation of exterior installation components
- Transport materials safely through the shop; clean up debris and keep tools and equipment in good condition.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and procedures, as well as company policies and procedures.
- Assist with other tasks and duties as assigned by supervisors to meet project requirements and deadlines.

Qualifications

- Previous experience in construction, exterior installation, or a related field (preferred).
- Ability to lift heavy objects, stand for long periods, and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Basic knowledge of hand tools, power tools and equipment.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and willingness to adhere to safety guidelines.

Job Types: Full time, Permanent

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
