Role Overview

We are looking for a passionate, energetic, and reliable person to join our team as a part-time Video Game & Pop Culture Event Specialist. If you like to booth at conventions, and events, getting to be the first face to help customers, and don't mind a bit of rolling up the sleeves and use some creativity, this is for you!

Duties & Responsibilities Include but not limited to:

- Prepare, pick, pack, and organize inventory for conventions, pop culture events, and retail booths.
- Transport inventory, displays, and event supplies to and from event venues using a company vehicle.
- Assist with loading, unloading, booth setup, merchandising, teardown, and inventory returns.
- Represent the company at conventions, markets, and pop culture events across Edmonton and surrounding areas.
- Provide friendly, knowledgeable customer service and product recommendations for video games, anime, comics, collectibles, and other pop culture merchandise.
- Process customer transactions accurately and follow company procedures for cash handling and inventory security.
- Maintain organized product displays, replenish stock, and assist with inventory counts.
- Provide additional retail store and warehouse support when scheduled, including customer service, inventory picking, packing, and stock organization.
- Follow company procedures for vehicle use, workplace safety, and general operations.

Qualifications & Skills





- Strong interest in and knowledge of video games, anime, comics, collectibles, and pop culture.
- Strong English communication skills and the ability to engage confidently and professionally with customers.
- Friendly, approachable customer service skills, including the ability to assist customers in busy, crowded environments.
- Reliable, trustworthy, organized, and able to work independently while following company procedures.
- Strong teamwork, time management, and adaptability in fast-paced event environments.
- Additional language skills are a solid asset.
- Previous retail, customer service, sales, or event experience is an asset.

Requirements

- Valid Alberta driver's license and a clean, insurable driving record.
- Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 lbs. Mostly around 20 pounds to handle.
- Ability for prolonged standing and ability to safely climb ladders and occasionally work at heights of approximately 6 feet to obtain items.
- Availability to work scheduled conventions and events throughout the year; events and conventions may require travel outside Edmonton, within Canada or internationally.
- Valid passport, or ability to obtain one, is an asset for optional international convention opportunities.

- This position will require travel between our two locations: 2856 Calgary Trail NW, Edmonton,



AB T6J 6V7 & 195 Turbo Dr, Sherwood Park, AB T8H 2J6
- Work takes place at conventions, events, markets, the retail store, and warehouse.
- Duties may involve early mornings, evenings, weekends, and extended periods of standing.
- Physical tasks include lifting and moving inventory, loading and unloading vehicle, and setting up and taking down event booths.
