About the Role:
Fireweed is seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Expediter/Driver to support our operations in the Yukon Territory. This position involves transporting staff and supplies to and from remote work camps across the region. The role is part-time, on an as-and-when-needed basis, and ideal for someone with flexible availability who enjoys driving and working in a energetic northern environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely transport staff, materials, and supplies to various camp locations.
- Ensure vehicles are clean, well-maintained, and equipped for remote travel.
- Load, secure, and unload cargo as required.
- Follow established routes and schedules while adapting to changing road and weather conditions.
- Maintain accurate trip logs and delivery documentation.
Qualifications:
- Valid Class 4 or higher driver’s license.
- Clean driver’s abstract (must be provided prior to hire).
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
- Experience driving in winter and remote road conditions is required.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate sound judgment in varying conditions.
Additional Information:
- Work is based out of Whitehorse, YT, with travel to field locations as required.
- Schedule is casual and demand-based, depending on operational needs.
- Accommodations and meals are provided when overnight stays are required.
