ASP Earthworks and Construction Services is looking for an experienced Mini Excavator Operator to operate our 8-ton Komatsu compact excavator for the remainder of the fall construction season in the Calgary area.

We need a skilled finish operator with hands-on experience operating smaller excavators who can complete precise excavation, trenching, and grading work efficiently and independently.

Responsibilities

- Operate an 8-ton Komatsu compact excavator.
- Perform precision excavation, trenching, grading, and finishing.
- Work accurately to specified grades and elevations.
- Operate safely in confined areas and around existing utilities.
- Perform daily equipment inspections.
- Coordinate with site supervisors and other trades.

Requirements

- Minimum 3 years of excavator operating experience preferred.
- Proven experience operating 5–8 ton mini or compact excavators.




- Robust finish grading and precision excavation skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Experience working in confined areas.
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious.
- Available to start immediately.

Employment Details

- Seasonal position for the remainder of fall 2026.
- Work located in around the Calgary area.
- ASP supplies the equipment.
- Experienced independent operators and subcontractors are welcome to apply.

Pay: $28.00-$34.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 60.0 per week
