Job Description

ARAMARK Remote Workplace Services is growing and hiring a Housekeeping Trainer for a lodge near Fort McMurray, AB. The Housekeeping Trainer is responsible for daily training, developing and mentoring housekeeping associates to achieve efficient and effective work practices.

The successful candidate will also assist with the day-to-day functions of the housekeeping department and help foster a culture of safety, accountability, and operational excellence. Successful candidates should have some experience in the remote or commercial industries.

- Transportation is provided out of Edmonton, AB.
- Rotation is 20 days on site and 10 days off site.

Please note all candidates considered for hire will be required to successfully pass a pre-employment D&A; test and criminal background check.

Job Responsibilities

- Accountable and responsible for maintaining a culture focused on having Safety as a value
- Meet daily with the Operations Manager and supervisors to discuss day-to-day operations and needs.
- Foresee and report any issues affecting the housekeeping operation to the Operations Manager.
- Perform Orientations and Welcome tour with new hires
- Ensure all PPE and safe work practices are being taught and utilized.
- Ensure all housekeeping staff are trained on cleaning protocols, including room cleaning, dorm cleaning and all necessary tasks required to maintain standards.
- Teach chemical use, and equipment operation.
- Ensure all standards are being met by working in close relationship with each staff member.
- Perform room and dorm inspections
- Report deficiencies in MMOBI
- Adhere to Aramark policies and procedures while training SOP and SWI.
- Update information in associate logs and training matrix.




- Shall attend daily safety meetings and participate in Client and/or Aramark Emergency Response Procedures
- Create a supportive and positive working environment.
- Ensure guests/clients at site receive superior customer service.

Qualifications

- 1+ years managerial experience preferably in remote camp or hotel/hospitality industries
- Computer skills
- Valid WHMIS Certification is mandatory, First Aid Certification is an asset
- Additional certification may be required by work location
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently supervised and unsupervised
- Strong with prioritization and time management
- Valid drivers’ abstract an asset
- Ability and willingness to travel/work long rotations away from home
