Join our dynamic team at Cestoil Chemical as a Warehouse & Blending Technician at our Courtice, Ontario location. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be at the heart of chemical materials handling, precision blending processes, quality control laboratory testing, and heavy equipment operation. You will play a vital part in ensuring smooth shipping, receiving, dangerous goods compliance, and inventory management while maintaining a safe, compliant, and organized workplace.

Duties

- Equipment Operation: Safely operate heavy equipment, including certified forklift operation (counterbalance, reach truck, etc.), clamp trucks, and pallet jacks to load, unload, and transport raw materials and finished chemical products.
- Dangerous Goods Management (optional): Handle, store, and document Dangerous Goods (DG) shipments in strict compliance with Transport Canada’s Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Regulations and WHMIS standards. Prepare shipping documents, safety placards, and labels accordingly.
- Chemical Blending & Laboratory Testing: Measure, mix, and blend raw materials according to specific formulas. Perform routine laboratory quality control (QC) tests (e.g., viscosity, density, pH, purity checks) on incoming raw materials and blended batches to ensure product specs are met.
- Shipping & Receiving: Manage inbound and outbound logistics by inspecting shipments, verifying documentation (bills of lading, SDS), using RF scanners, and updating Inventory/Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Safety & Compliance: Maintain a clean and organized warehouse, strictly adhering to Health Canada, OHSA (Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act), and environmental safety regulations. Conduct regular workplace safety inspections.
- Team Collaboration:



Work closely with warehouse supervisors and plant engineers to optimize workflow, enhance safety protocols, and ensure timely, high-quality product delivery.

Qualifications

- Forklift Certification : Valid Forklift Operator Certification (Counterbalance / Propane / Electric) is required; hands-on experience operating forklifts, clamp trucks, or related warehouse equipment is needed. A Forklift Licence is strictly required.
- Dangerous Goods Certification(optional): Active TDG (Transportation of Dangerous Goods) certification (or ability to obtain immediately upon hire) is needed, and TDG Certification is preferred. Working knowledge of WHMIS 2015 / GHS safety guidelines is required, and WHMIS Certification is mandatory. 1 year of experience with dangerous goods is preferred.
- Chemical Lab Experience(optional): Hands-on experience or educational background in chemical laboratory testing, quality control analysis, or chemical processing/blending. 1 year of laboratory experience is preferred.
- Logistics & WMS Knowledge: Proven experience in warehouse distribution, shipping/receiving processes, and familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and RF scanner picking systems. 1 year of experience with a warehouse management system is preferred.
- Safety & Regulations: Thorough knowledge of Ontario OHSA regulations, chemical handling protocols, and safety data sheets (SDS).
- Physical Capability & Aptitude: Mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot equipment. Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical labor safely in an industrial warehouse setting.
- Communication & Language: English language proficiency is required. Excellent verbal and written English communication skills with strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise technical SOPs.
- Education & Other Licences: An AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate is preferred. A valid Driving Licence is required.

Pay: From $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
