Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Assistant Service Manager to join our automotive service team. In this pivotal role, you will support the Service Manager in overseeing daily operations within the service department, ensuring exceptional customer experiences, and maintaining efficient workflow. Duties

- Assist the Service Manager in coordinating daily service department activities to ensure smooth operations
- Support technicians with mechanical troubleshooting and repair guidance, leveraging your mechanic experience and mechanical knowledge
- Provide outstanding customer service by addressing client inquiries, explaining repair options, and ensuring their needs are met with enthusiasm
- Promote upselling of additional services and maintenance packages to maximize revenue opportunities while maintaining integrity
- Handle cash transactions accurately and maintain proper cash handling procedures during service visits
- Oversee the scheduling of appointments, parts ordering, and workflow management to optimize productivity




- Contribute to a positive team environment by mentoring junior staff, fostering collaboration, and upholding high standards of professionalism

Experience

- Proven dealership experience with a strong background in automotive repair and customer service
- Hands-on mechanic experience with comprehensive mechanical knowledge of various vehicle systems
- Demonstrated ability in sales and upselling techniques within an automotive setting
- Experience in cash handling, point-of-sale transactions, or financial procedures related to service operations
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience is preferred but not required; a proactive attitude is essential

Pay: $40,981.38-$124,906.59 per year
