Job Overview

The Powder Coater is responsible for preparing, coating, and finishing metal components using powder coating equipment to meet required quality, safety, and production standards. This role supports day-to-day manufacturing operations and requires attention to detail, reliability, and a strong commitment to workplace safety. Duties

- Prepare metal parts for powder coating, including cleaning, masking, sandblasting, and hanging parts
- Operate powder coating equipment, ovens, and spray guns according to specifications
- Apply powder evenly to ensure proper coverage, thickness, and finish quality
- Monitor curing times and temperatures to ensure coatings meet quality standards
- Inspect finished products for defects such as runs, thin spots, or imperfections
- Perform touch-ups or rework as required
- Maintain powder coating equipment and perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance
- Follow production schedules and work efficiently to meet deadlines
- Keep work area clean,



organized, and free of hazards
- Communicate with supervisors and team members regarding production issues or quality concerns

Skills

- Previous experience in powder coating or industrial painting is an asset (training may be provided)
- Knowledge of surface preparation techniques and coating processes preferred
- Ability to read and follow work orders and production instructions
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good time management and reliability
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new equipment

Pay: $18.50-$35.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
