Overview

The Cook prepares meals through organized food preparation and cooking, supporting smooth, dependable food service. This hands-on role contributes to a welcoming dining experience by helping ensure meals are prepared and served with care.

Duties

- Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
- Prepare and cook special meals for patients as instructed by chef
- Manage and oversee kitchen operations
- Maintain inventory and records of food, order supplies and equipment
- May set up and oversee buffets
- May clean kitchen and work area
- May plan menus, determine size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies
- May train, schedule and supervise kitchen helpers

Requirements

Required: Practical cooking, meal preparation, food preparation,



and safe food handling skills are essential, along with attention to cleanliness, timing, and explicit communication in a busy kitchen. Preferred: Food service experience, including restaurant or other kitchen experience, is an advantage; familiarity with the food industry and serving guests can help you contribute confidently. Your impact: Well-prepared meals and coordinated service help colleagues deliver a reliable, enjoyable experience for guests.

Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 33.0 – 37.0 per week
