Schedule: Weekday evenings (4 pm - 8 pm)and Saturdays (11am - 4 pm)

We are a growing learning centre in Summerside, Edmonton, providing personalized academic support to students from Kindergarten through Grade 12.

We're looking for passionate, knowledgeable, and dependable educators who genuinely enjoy teaching and want to make a lasting difference in students' lives.

Positions Available

We are hiring educators specializing in one or more of the following areas:

- Kindergarten–Grade 6: Early literacy, phonics, reading comprehension, writing, mathematics, and foundational learning.
- Grades 7–9: Mathematics, science, English Language Arts, and social studies.
- Grades 10–12: Mathematics (including Math 20-1, 30-1 and 30-2), Chemistry, Physics, Biology, English Language Arts, and Alberta Diploma Exam preparation.

What You'll Do

- Deliver engaging, personalized lessons in small-group and one-on-one settings.
- Assess students' learning needs and adapt instruction accordingly.
- Help students strengthen foundational skills, improve academic performance, and develop confidence.
- Prepare and deliver lessons aligned with the Alberta curriculum.
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain accurate attendance records and brief session notes immediately following each lesson.




- Communicate professionally with the Vteach team.
- Maintain a positive, encouraging, and structured learning workplace.

Who We're Looking For

We're looking for educators who bring both strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for helping students succeed.

Our ideal candidate:

- Has previous teaching, tutoring, or classroom experience.
- Is confident teaching the subjects and grade levels they apply for.
- Can explain difficult concepts clearly and patiently.
- Is familiar with, or willing to learn, the Alberta curriculum.
- Is organized, punctual, dependable, and professional.
- Can commit to a consistent weekly teaching schedule.
- Is comfortable working with students of different abilities and learning styles.
- Takes ownership of student progress and communicates proactively.

Qualifications

- A Bachelor of Education, relevant university degree, or current enrolment in an Education or subject-related university program is preferred.
- Alberta teaching certification is an asset but is not required for tutoring positions.
- Experience supporting students with diverse learning needs is an asset.
- Successful candidates must complete applicable screening and provide a satisfactory vulnerable sector check before working with children.

Schedule & Location

Location: Vteach Learning Centre, Summerside, Edmonton

Operating Hours:

- Monday–Friday: 4:00 PM–8:00 PM
- Saturday: 11:00 AM–4:00 PM

Applicants must be available for consistent weekly shifts. Preference will be given to candidates who can commit to at least two regular teaching days per week.
