Summary
The Facilities Cleaner keeps Axxon's plant clean, safe and ready for production, and supports other production tasks as required. Production support may account for up to 40% of the role, depending on day to day needs. This position is for the Afternoon shift
Monday to Thursday 3:00 pm - 1:00 am
Responsibilities
- Sweep, scrub and clean production floors, walkways, common areas and plant equipment
- Collect and sort waste, recycling and scrap, bale scrap and unwind paper rolls as directed
- Support other production tasks as required e.g. unloading and loading etc.
- Respond to spills, keep exits explicit, assist with snow and ice removal, and report hazards or repair needs.
- Qualifications
- Experience in industrial cleaning, custodial work, facilities support or manufacturing is an asset.
- Reliable and able to work independently, follow instructions and adjust to changing priorities
- Able to stand and walk regularly, bend, push, pull and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Forklift certification is an asset but not required. Training will be provided
