Design distributed systems for Mawari Network’s XR streaming ecosystem in Waterloo, focusing on Golang, Rust, scalability, and real-time performance. As Principal Engineer, you will architect large-scale systems spanning content streaming, model evaluation, inference pipelines, and decentralized coordination. You will guide technical direction while solving fault tolerance, latency, throughput, and resilience challenges. The work includes cloud-native applications, blockchain environments, and production-grade peer-to-peer infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
- Architect distributed systems for streaming, distribution, evaluation, and inference
- Create scalable architectural blueprints and technical direction
- Build monitoring tools tracking health, throughput, and fairness
- Develop load balancing, elasticity,



and failure recovery strategies
- Mentor engineers through architecture and distributed systems challenges

Requirements:
- Expert Golang and Rust backend experience with six-plus years
- Four-plus years building large-scale distributed systems
- Experience with microservices and AWS, GCP, or Azure
- Mastery of software architecture and system design principles
