Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Snow Plow Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of snow plowing & shoveling / snowblowing equipment to ensure clear and safe roadways & walkways/ entrances during winter weather conditions. This role runs from November 1st to april 30th could extend into summer work and requires a strong understanding of landscape maintenance, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work in challenging weather environments.

Duties

- Operate snow plow trucks and other related equipment to clear snow and ice from roads, driveways, parking lots, and sidewalks.
- Perform routine maintenance on snow plowing equipment, including checking fluid levels, changing oil, and ensuring all mechanical components are in good working order.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools for snow removal tasks as necessary.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate snow removal efforts effectively.




- Monitor weather conditions and respond promptly to changing conditions to ensure safety on the roadways.
- Maintain accurate records of hours worked, equipment used, and materials applied during snow removal operations.

Experience

- Previous experience operating heavy machinery such as tractors, skid steers or snow plows is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
- Experience using hand tools and power tools in construction or maintenance settings is advantageous.
