Job Summary

RJV Gas Field Services is seeking an experienced Structural Welding Lead Hand to join our fabrication team in Vegreville, AB.

This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for leading a crew of welders while actively participating in the fabrication of structural steel skids, platforms, stair systems, equipment supports, and modular packages.

Responsibilities

- Lead and mentor a team of welders and apprentices
- Perform structural welding, fitting, and fabrication work
- Read and interpret fabrication drawings and weld symbols
- Coordinate daily work activities to meet production schedules
- Verify weld quality, fit-up accuracy, and workmanship
- Troubleshoot fabrication issues and provide technical guidance
- Promote a safe, productive, and team-oriented work workplace
- Work closely with Production, QC, and Project Management teams

Qualifications

- Journeyman Welder certification preferred
- Minimum 5 years of structural steel fabrication experience




- Strong knowledge of structural drawings and welding procedures
- Experience leading crews in a fabrication environment
- Ability to maintain quality standards while meeting production schedules
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills

Pay: $38.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
