Matte Haus Pilates is a movement studio located in North York, near Keele and Wilson. Built around the belief that movement and wellness should feel welcoming, empowering, and accessible, we offer a variety of Pilates, yoga, strength, and specialty fitness classes in an intimate, community-focused environment.

As we continue to grow, we're excited to expand beyond movement and introduce wellness services designed to support recovery, relaxation, and overall well-being.

Our goal is to create a space where clients can move, recover, recharge, and feel their best—all under one roof.

Position Overview

We are seeking passionate, professional, and client-focused Registered Massage Therapists (RMTs) to join Matte Haus Pilates & Wellness as independent contractors.

Practitioners with training or experience in Thai massage, and/or lymphatic drainage massage experience considered a strong asset.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of our growing wellness offering and help shape the massage therapy experience at our studio.

As an RMT, you will provide high-quality therapeutic and relaxation massage treatments tailored to individual client needs while building lasting relationships with clients.

This position offers flexible scheduling, a dedicated treatment space, and the opportunity to grow your practice alongside our movement and fitness community.

Compensation

- $60-$65 an hour
- Independent contractor arrangement.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide professional massage therapy treatments, including Swedish, Deep Tissue, Sports, Therapeutic, and Prenatal Massage,



based on qualifications and experience.
- Offer specialized treatments such as Thai massage and lymphatic drainage massage where appropriately trained and qualified.
- Conduct thorough client consultations, assessments, and health history reviews.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on client needs and goals.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client treatment records in accordance with CMTO standards.
- Educate clients on appropriate self-care, recovery, and home care recommendations.
- Build strong client relationships and encourage ongoing wellness and treatment plans.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional treatment environment.
- Follow all applicable infection prevention, safety, and professional practice standards.
- Collaborate with the Matte Haus team to create a welcoming and positive client experience.
- Contribute to the growth and development of our wellness services.

Requirements

- Registered and in good standing with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO).
- Valid professional liability insurance.
- Ability to provide professional therapeutic massage treatments.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and client care skills.
- Professional, dependable, punctual, and organized.
- Comfortable working independently while contributing to a collaborative studio environment.
- Ability to maintain accurate treatment records and meet all professional obligations.
- Ability to manage independent contractor tax and invoicing responsibilities.
- Legally eligible to work in Canada.
- Availability for evenings and/or weekends is an asset.

Preferred Specialties & Additional Assets

- Thai Massage: Specialized training or hands-on experience in traditional Thai massage, assisted stretching,



and mobility-focused techniques is highly desirable.
- Lymphatic Drainage Massage: Training or experience in manual lymphatic drainage techniques is considered a strong asset.
- Experience with sports massage, injury recovery, deep tissue massage, or prenatal massage.
- Experience working with active individuals, athletes, or fitness-focused clients.
- An existing client base or interest in developing a long-term practice.
- An interest in holistic wellness, recovery, and movement-based health.
