Eagle Lake Island Lodge is a premier all-inclusive fishing resort located in beautiful sunset country 30 minutes from Dryden in Northwestern Ontario. Our staff live and work on site.

The Dock Hand - Junior Guide supports safe, organized dock operations while helping guests and colleagues enjoy a smooth, well-coordinated fishing experience. This hands-on role combines practical dock work, island operations (transporting garbage, baggage, and other operational stuff) and strong customer service. You’ll contribute to an orderly & friendly working environment, assist with docking, and help visitors understand where to go and follow fishing regulations to protect the fishery.

Duties

- Assist guests with docking, fueling, and fishing equipment including bait, and taking care around people and gear.
- Help prepare and organize the dock area, keeping equipment accessible and workspaces tidy.
- Welcome and guide visitors, provide clear directions, and coordinate with colleagues as needs arise.




- Maintain and observe equipment, reporting concerns promptly to support safe, reliable operations.
- Grow skills and advance to guiding as able to complement the guide team in successive years

Qualifications

Required: Practical ability to follow instructions, communicate clearly, work attentively around equipment and visitors, and provide strong customer service.
Preferred: Solid Fishing skills, mechanical knowledge, or related hands-on experience that supports dock tasks and equipment care.
