Art For Everyday Inc. is a manufacturer of architectural woodcarving and custom wood components. Our facility includes woodworking production areas, CNC machinery, sanding stations, lumber storage, offices, and a cafeteria.

Job Description

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Janitor / Cleaner to maintain cleanliness and hygiene throughout our manufacturing facility, including office spaces, washrooms, cafeteria, and woodworking production areas.

Responsibilities:

- Sweep/Mop/Vacuum lobby, office, cafeteria, production areas
- Continually inspect for and dispose of all debris
- Clean/Disinfect/Restock PLANT and OFFICE Washrooms (fixtures, sinks/toilets, floors, walls, mirrors, remove trash. Fill soap / hand-towels / toilet paper / sanitary supplies, etc.)
- Re-inspect all Washrooms continually throughout the day for cleanliness, supply replenishment and general condition
- Requisition / replenish appropriate custodial supplies under direction of Maintenance Supervisor
- Willing to be part of a team environment
- Maintain a clean working area free from sawdust and debris
- Lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs
- Transfer materials to manufacturing cells using carts




- Follow instructions from the operator, be a team player
- Reports all problems to your supervisor when they occur
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with health and safety and housekeeping practices, and use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Abide by all rules and regulations of the Company
- Previous manufacturing experiences an asset
- Attention to detail
- Noisy, dusty

Requirements

- Previous cleaning experience (1 year preferred).
- Previous manufacturing or factory experience is an asset.
- Comfortable working in a woodworking manufacturing environment.
- Able to work in a noisy and dusty setting.
- Able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
- Good attention to detail.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.00-$21.00 per hour
