This position requires physical work in an industrial setting while wearing cover-alls and a respirator the majority of the time. Steel-toed boots are a requirement.

Job Description & Duties

The successful candidate will perform or assist with the following duties:

- Following the direction of the shift charge-hand and the engineer responsible for the process
- Processing materials
- Assisting in R&D; projects
- Cleaning work areas and equipment
- Operating various production equipment
- Completing forms for material processing
- Following work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs)

Steel-toed boots are a requirement. All other personal protective equipment (PPE) such as respirators and cover-alls will be provided.

Shifts

- 12.5 hour rotating shifts starting at $49,000/year

Qualifications

Experience is not required, on the job training is provided. The ideal candidate will have the following characteristics:

- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem solving skills
- A self starter with ability to work under minimal supervision
- Ability to complete work on time
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment and communicate with others
- Ability to lift up to 25 kg
- Must be willing to maintain a clean work area

Some additional qualities that would set you above the rest, but not required:

- valid forklift certificate
- Valid First Aid certificate
- Education or experience relating to materials science, manufacturing technology, mining or mineral processing
