Build resilient accounts platforms remotely in Canada with Penn Interactive, using REST APIs, gRPC services, and SQL for critical player systems. As a Senior Software Engineer on the Accounts team, you will design, scale, and performance-tune systems supporting registration, authentication, identity verification, compliance, and notifications. You will solve complex technical problems, deliver features end-to-end, and improve production reliability.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and tune REST APIs, gRPC services, and SQL queries
- Deliver features across registration, identity, compliance, and notifications
- Identify production bottlenecks and drive scalable platform improvements
- Configure Datadog monitoring and alerting for owned systems
- Mentor engineers through specifications, pairing,



and code reviews

Requirements:
- Minimum five years of software engineering experience
- Solid computer science, distributed systems, and software design foundations
- Experience with production performance regressions, load testing, and tracing
- Experience with web frameworks, APIs, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Kubernetes
- Understanding of OAuth 2.0, OIDC, JWT, MFA, and secure PII handling Apply senior engineering expertise across APIs, authentication, performance, and compliance for Penn Interactive’s business-critical accounts platform.
