Qualifications - Metal Pressing and Fabrication Facility

- Strong experience operating a counterbalance forklift in an industrial manufacturing environment
- Valid forklift certification, with licence verification required prior to placement
- Experience in shipping and receiving
- Experience with order picking
- Reasonable math skills for counts, weights, and paperwork
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work independently
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods
- Start Date: ASAP
- End Date: 3-month assignment, with the opportunity for permanent employment
- Pay Rate: $21 to $23/hr, based on experience
- Hours: Full-Time, Monday to Thursday, 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with lots of overtime available on Fridays

Nice to Have:

- Yale and Liftow forklift certifications
- Previous experience in a metal pressing or metal fabrication environment
- Experience with inventory or shipping software

Responsibilities:
Shipper Receivers keep materials and finished product moving in and out of the plant accurately and on time. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

- Load and unload trucks safely using a counterbalance forklift
- Receive incoming materials and check them against packing slips and purchase orders
- Pick and prepare orders for shipping
- Prepare outgoing shipments and complete shipping paperwork
- Move materials and finished product around the plant as needed
- Keep accurate counts and records of all incoming and outgoing product
- Report any damaged, missing, or incorrect shipments
- Do daily forklift inspections and report any mechanical or safety concerns to a supervisor




- Keep the shipping and receiving area clean, organized, and safe
- Follow all forklift and workplace safety procedures

Experience:

- Experience in shipping and receiving in a manufacturing or industrial setting
- Strong counterbalance forklift experience in an industrial environment
- Experience with order picking and preparing shipments
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Skills:

- Safe and confident forklift operation
- Good attention to detail and accuracy
- Basic math for counts and paperwork
- Strong communication skills
- Good organization and time management
- Ability to keep up in a fast-paced workplace
