Job Description

Hutton Safety Group is looking for an experienced HSE Site Safety Advisor to provide full-time, onsite safety support for an industrial construction project in North Vancouver, BC.

This opportunity is ideal for a hands-on safety professional who is comfortable working directly with construction crews, identifying hazards, supporting safe work practices, and helping maintain a strong safety culture on a busy, active job site.

We're looking for someone who can hit the ground running, build relationships with site personnel, and provide practical safety support in a rapid-paced construction environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide daily onsite HSE support to project personnel and subcontractors.
- Conduct regular site inspections and identify potential hazards or unsafe work practices.
- Support compliance with applicable safety legislation, site requirements, and established HSE procedures.
- Participate in toolbox talks, safety meetings, and daily hazard assessments.
- Review and support the implementation of safe work procedures and hazard controls.
- Assist with incident reporting, investigations, and corrective action follow-up.
- Monitor contractor and worker compliance with site safety expectations.
- Maintain accurate safety documentation, inspection records, and reports.
- Work collaboratively with site supervision and crews to address safety concerns and promote safe work practices.

Qualifications & Experience

- NCSO, CRSP designation required.
- Previous experience providing onsite safety support in an industrial or construction environment.
- Experience working on large-scale industrial projects,



shipyards, or similar active construction sites considered an asset.
- Strong knowledge of WorkSafeBC regulations and construction safety requirements.
- Experience conducting site inspections, hazard assessments, and incident investigations.
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to engage workers and supervisors at all levels.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize competing demands, and provide practical solutions to site safety challenges.
- Valid safety training and certifications relevant to the project environment.

IMPORTANT APPLICATION INFORMATION

Applicants must currently reside in the Greater Vancouver area and be available to work onsite in North Vancouver.

This is a full-time, site-based opportunity with an immediate staffing requirement. Preference will be given to qualified candidates who are available to mobilize quickly.
