Use public sector accounting and audit expertise to supervise school finance activities at the Halton District School Board in Burlington. Reporting to the Manager of Accounting
- School Finances & Risk Management, this supervisor provides guidance, training, and support to schools. The work covers policy compliance, school generated funds, decentralized budgets, and reporting. It includes collaboration with Principals, Superintendents, School Council members, and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform audits identifying unusual financial patterns and activity
- Coordinate school generated funds reporting for management and Ministry purposes
- Review processes for PSAB, CRA, and legislative compliance




- Coordinate the annual Charitable Information Return
- Manage talent and financial resources effectively

Requirements:
- CPA designation or equivalent and university degree
- Five years’ accounting or finance experience
- Two to three years’ supervisory experience
- Knowledge of PSAB and CRA donation and HST requirements
- Internal controls, data management, and advanced Excel proficiency Bring public sector finance, compliance, audit, and supervisory experience to school financial operations within HDSB.
