Aero Recip (Canada) Ltd., is Canada’s largest aircraft piston engine overhaul facility. We currently are looking for a welder.

Position Summary

Reporting to the Production Manager, the welder is responsible for the welding and repair of cracked and/or damaged aircraft cylinders and engine parts to restore them to airworthy condition.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform TIG and MIG welding on aircraft engine components and related parts.

- Perform precision tubular welding, including thin-wall tubing, exhaust systems and tubular assemblies

- Welding and repairing aluminum, stainless, steel, mild steel and other metals as required.

- Fabricate, modify and repair tubular structures and components according to specifications.

- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints and repair instructions.

- Inspect completed welds to ensure quality and workmanship standards.

- Maintain welding equipment and a clean, safe work environment.

- Work closely with our engine overhaul and repair teams.

Qualifications

- Previous TIG and MIG welding experience required

- Experience in tubular welding, particularly thin-wall tubing and stainless steel, strongly preferred.

- Strong TIG welding skills with aluminum and stainless steel

- Experience with aircraft exhaust systems, tubular fabrication and precision welding is an asset.





- Ability to read technical drawings and follow detailed instructions. Solid attention to detail and commitment to quality.

- Aviation welding experience is an asset but not required.

- Welding certification or relevant trade qualifications are an asset.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
