Position Summary:

We are seeking a results-driven Production Manager to lead our production operations and support the successful execution of customer projects. This role is responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing activities, production scheduling, labor planning, quality and safety compliance, inventory and vendor management, and the continuous improvement of our production processes.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong experience in manufacturing operations. Knowledge of electrical control systems and control panels is a mandatory requirement. The candidate must be capable of reading, understanding, troubleshooting, and supporting electrical controls and related equipment.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead, coach, and develop the Production team to foster a culture of safety, accountability, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Manage the day-to-day operations of a fast-paced control panel manufacturing facility.
- Plan, schedule, and monitor production activities to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
- Forecast labor requirements and allocate resources effectively to meet production demands.
- Establish, monitor, and report on departmental KPIs and operational objectives.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and applicable health and safety regulations, including OHSA requirements.
- Oversee inventory levels of production, tools, and shop supplies to support uninterrupted operations.
- Coordinate and manage external vendors and contractors to support production requirements.
- Maintain compliance with the ISO 9001:2026 Quality Management System and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Oversee preventative maintenance programs and coordinate repairs for production equipment, company assets, and vehicles.
- Conduct production reviews upon project completion to identify lessons learned and opportunities for improvement.




- Facilitate regular production meetings to review schedules, capacity, quality concerns, and operational priorities.
- Drive process improvement initiatives focused on productivity, quality, safety, cost reduction, and on-time delivery.

Qualifications & Experience

- Diploma, Advanced Diploma, or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Industrial Automation, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent combination of education and industry experience will also be considered.
- Minimum 4 years of progressive manufacturing experience, including 1-2 years of supervisory or management role.
- Experience managing production teams in a custom manufacturing, industrial, electrical, or automation environment.
- Electrical license would be an asset.
- Strong understanding of production planning, scheduling, capacity management, and resource allocation within a custom manufacturing or job-shop environment.
- Proven experience leading and developing teams, including training, coaching, and performance management.
- Working knowledge of OHSA requirements and workplace health and safety best practices.
- Experience working within an ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System workplace.
- Demonstrated ability to establish, monitor, and improve Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Strong organizational, leadership, and decision-making skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
- Familiarity with CSA, UL, and NEC standards applicable to the electrical controls industry.

- Some travel may be required for FAT/SAT or customer meetings

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
