SMC Towing is looking for a reliable and professional Office Attendant / Customer Service Representative to work from our impound-lot office trailer in Nepean.

Schedule and compensation:

- Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

- A 30-minute unpaid lunch is deducted each day

- Approximately 47.5 paid hours per week

- Overtime is paid after 44 hours per week

- Weekend shifts are generally optional and may be available depending on operational needs

- $25.00 per hour

- Group Manulife health and dental benefits are available after successfully completing the three-month probationary period

Responsibilities:

- Greet customers and provide professional assistance at the impound lot

- Answer telephone, email and in-person inquiries

- Explain impound, vehicle-release and collision procedures clearly

- Complete customer paperwork and maintain accurate electronic and physical records

- Process payments and provide receipts

- Coordinate with dispatchers, tow-truck operators, police services, insurers and other parties

- Maintain the office trailer, including tidying, organizing supplies and monitoring stock





- Complete weekly mail and occasional errands, including trips to Canada Post

- Handle difficult or emotional customer interactions calmly and professionally

- Protect confidential customer and vehicle information

Qualifications:

- Solid customer-service and communication skills

- Professional telephone and email etiquette

- Comfortable working independently and solving problems

- Organized, dependable and attentive to detail

- Comfortable using computers and learning company software

- Automotive, towing, dispatch or impound-lot experience is an asset

- Bilingual English and French is an asset

- Valid driver's licence required

The successful candidate must be dependable, confident when dealing with the public and able to remain calm in a busy environment.
