Manage accounting implementation for Vehicle Service Contracts and ancillary protection products with Volkswagen Financial Services in Pickering. As Accounting Manager, you will lead accounting for products sold through US and Canadian subsidiary structures. You will work with business, technical accounting, actuarial, IT, vendors, and product stakeholders. The position covers recent product launches, sample journal entries, accounting processes, Guidelines and Practices manuals, transition plans, and internal controls. It also supports IFRS 17 systems, reporting, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead accounting implementation from product concept through launch
- Develop and test sample journal entries and accounting processes
- Coordinate product, actuarial, IT, vendor, and accounting stakeholders




- Maintain Guidelines and Practices manuals for insurance accounting
- Support controls and documentation under IFRS and statutory requirements

Requirements:
- Ten years of financial accounting analysis and reporting experience
- Ten years of insurance accounting experience
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or Finance
- Experience accounting for extended service contracts or P&C; insurance
- Working knowledge of internal controls and accounting policy development Bring product accounting, IFRS compliance, and stakeholder coordination expertise to Volkswagen Financial Services protection products.
