Position Title: Welder (Shutdown - Nov 3-7th)

Salary Range: $70.00/hr + OT ($81.67/hr over a 12 hour day)

About the Client and Role

We are on the hunt for an experienced Welder for a Shutdown assignment in Mining. The outage will run for 4 days from November 3-7th. This is a fly-in, fly-out site and this work is for Fixed Plant/Process Plant Maintenance. We have a preference for Millwrights/Industrial Mechanics who have experience maintaining gyro crushers and liners or other conveyance equipment. If needed, Flights are provided and it is a camp accommodation (food and lodging provided). If closer to site, mileage is also provided. RSJM Licensed Millwrights required; we also require a Medical Form, Criminal Record Check and References and proof of license. Pay is $70/hr + OT after 8 hours per day ($81.67/hr over a 12 hour day). And additional 6 hours paid on the in-bound and out-bound. Must be able to fly/commute November 2nd. If you are available, please get in touch!

This role provides technical support and coaching to assist the department and the company to strive to achieve their goals of "ZERO HARM"

Main Accountabilities:

- Maintenance on all mechanical equipment as outlined in the Preventative Maintenance Program Equipment overhauls and alignments
- Gyratory Crushers, Liner - repair, maintenance
- Participate in current construction projects as applicable including commissioning and startup
- Work with Operations, supervision and Engineering to identify technical deficiencies
- Assist in planning and execution of work
- Mentoring and training other personnel
- Assist in identifying and implementing continuous improvement activities.
- Clearly write reports detailing work performed and problems found (root causes) when warranted

Main Qualifications:





- Interprovincial Red Seal/Journeyman Welder certification from an approved educational facility with a minimum of 5 years of experience
- Previous experience with Crushers, particularly gyro
- Experience with the following equipment would be an asset; feeders, conveyors, and pumps.
- Knowledge and experience of industry related safe work practices
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Consistently strive for personal and operational improvement including the ability to upgrade required skills and competencies
- Industry related Safety Training
- Proven safety and attendance record
- Willingness and capacity to work in adverse conditions, rotational work and artic environment
- Trouble shooting capabilities are an asset
- Capable of functioning within a multidisciplinary team of journeymen
