Job Description

Adventure Growth Space Learning Centre is seeking a caring, responsible, and enthusiastic Part-Time After-School Teacher to join our team.

We are looking for a reliable educator who enjoys working with elementary school-aged children and can provide a safe, engaging, and supportive after-school environment.

This is a regular part-time position with a consistent Monday-to-Friday schedule.

Responsibilities

- Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of children during after-school hours
- Plan and lead engaging educational, recreational, and enrichment activities
- Support children's social, emotional, and academic development
- Encourage positive behaviour, independence, and teamwork
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized learning environment
- Manage daily attendance and classroom routines
- Communicate professionally with parents and team members
- Follow childcare licensing requirements and safety procedures

Qualifications

- Valid BC ECEA Certificate preferred, but not required




- Applicants without ECEA certification must meet BC Responsible Adult qualification requirements
- Valid First Aid and CPR certification – Required
- Experience working with elementary school-aged children preferred
- Robust communication and classroom management skills
- Patient, caring, responsible, and dependable
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Satisfactory Criminal Record Check required
- Legally eligible to work in Canada

- Additional Hours: Candidates holding a valid ECEA Certificate may be eligible for additional working hours based on program needs and qualifications.
