We are seeking a agile and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team within the transportation industry. Duties

- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely payments and collections
- Perform account reconciliation and bank reconciliation to maintain accurate financial records
- Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms for bookkeeping and financial management
- Conduct detailed account analysis to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly
- Support corporate finance activities including budgeting, auditing, and financial reporting
- Process payroll accurately and efficiently while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations




- Assist with auditing procedures by preparing documentation and supporting internal controls

Qualifications

- Proven experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xpert accounting software
- Minimum 2 years of accounting/bookkeeping experience
- Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliation processes
- Prepare and file HST returns
- Experience in bookkeeping and account analysis within the transportation or logistics industry is highly desirable
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills
- Ability to adapt quickly to new accounting systems and procedures
- Knowledge of payroll processing and financial services regulations is a plus
