TerraBurst is growing, and we're looking for experienced, hardworking individuals to join our underground construction crews!

TerraBurst is an established underground infrastructure contractor specializing in sewer and water installation, replacement, and rehabilitation. Our work includes trenchless pipe bursting, CIPP lining, excavation, and underground utility construction throughout Calgary and surrounding communities.

We are currently hiring for multiple field positions and are looking for dependable individuals who take pride in their workmanship, value safety, and enjoy working as part of a skilled construction crew.

Positions Available

Skilled Labourers – $28–$35/hour

- Assist with sewer and water installations, excavation, pipe replacement, and site restoration.
- Operate hand and power tools and support equipment operators.
- Perform general construction duties, including material handling, concrete work, backfilling, and site cleanup.
- Previous underground utility or civil construction experience is preferred.

Pipelayers – $32–$40/hour

- Install, repair, and replace underground sewer and water piping.
- Assist with pipe grading, bedding, connections, and backfilling.
- Work safely around existing utilities and active excavations.
- Previous sewer and water installation experience is strongly preferred.

Lead Hands – $35–$43/hour





- Support foremen with daily crew coordination and jobsite activities.
- Provide hands-on direction to labourers and other crew members.
- Assist with sewer and water installations, excavation, and equipment operations.
- Demonstrate strong construction experience, leadership, and safety awareness.

Excavator Operators – $35–$45/hour

- Operate excavators for sewer and water installations, trenching, backfilling, and excavation.
- Perform precision excavation around existing underground utilities and structures.
- Experience operating CAT 305, CAT 308, or comparable excavators is preferred.
- Previous underground sewer and water excavation experience is strongly preferred.

Sewer & Water Foremen – $42–$52/hour

- Lead underground construction crews and coordinate daily field operations.
- Oversee sewer and water installations, excavation, equipment operations, and project completion.
- Read and interpret construction drawings, utility locates, and project specifications.
- Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards.
- Previous supervisory experience in underground sewer and water construction is required.

General Requirements

- Previous construction experience is preferred, particularly in underground utilities, sewer and water, excavation, or civil construction.
- Valid Class 5 driver's licence and acceptable driver's abstract.
- Reliable,



punctual, hardworking, and safety-conscious.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and follow direction.
- Experience using construction tools, equipment, and machinery relevant to the position.
- Physically capable of performing demanding outdoor construction work.
- Willingness to work in varying weather and jobsite conditions.
- Availability for 10–12 hour shifts and overtime as required.
- Strong work ethic and commitment to quality workmanship.

Relevant safety certifications, including Ground Disturbance, CSTS, WHMIS, First Aid, and Confined Space, are considered assets.
