Shape rear body closure systems through design, validation, and release. Work across latches, harnessing, taillamps, trim, and adjacent vehicle teams. This Closure Design Release Engineer leads engineering activities for critical rear-vehicle systems. You will develop sheet metal closures and hinging systems, including liftgates, decklids, and tailgates. The assignment requires coordination with electromechanical, electrical, lighting, and interior or exterior trim functions.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and release liftgates, decklids, tailgates, and hinges
- Lead packaging coordination with adjacent departments
- Work with virtual validation groups on CAE scorecards
- Verify manufacturing feasibility for assigned components




- Align iterative models with packaging and system requirements

Requirements:
- Knowledge of rear closure engineering and design development
- Understanding of latches, cinching motors, harnessing, and taillamps
- Ability to collaborate with architecture and vehicle concepts teams
- Experience maintaining DVP&R; and DFMEA records
- Availability to support meetings during North American work hours Bring rear closure systems expertise to cross-functional packaging, virtual validation, and release coordination across vehicle programs.
