Position Overview

The Team Member is responsible for providing friendly and efficient customer service while supporting the daily operations of the Manos location. This role includes taking customer orders, preparing and serving products, operating the POS system, handling payments, maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards, and working collaboratively with the store team.

The successful candidate will be reliable, customer-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced food service environment.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service

- Greet customers and take orders accurately in person and at the counter/window.
- Recommend menu items, sizes, and toppings and suggest add-ons where appropriate.
- Respond to basic customer questions and concerns and escalate unresolved issues to the Store Supervisor.
- Maintain a friendly, professional, and customer-focused attitude at all times.

Food Preparation & Service

- Prepare and serve yogurt soft serve and toppings according to recipe and portioning standards.
- Operate soft-serve machines and related equipment correctly and safely.
- Monitor product levels throughout the shift and advise the Store Supervisor when stock is running low.
- Follow food safety and allergen-handling procedures at all times.

Cash Handling

- Operate the POS/register accurately for all customer transactions.
- Process cash, debit/credit, and gift card payments and provide correct change and receipts.
- Keep the till secure and immediately report discrepancies to the Store Supervisor.
- Follow required approval procedures for voids and refunds; do not process these independently without appropriate authorization.

Cleanliness & Food Safety

- Maintain clean and sanitized workstations, dining areas, and equipment throughout the shift.
- Follow applicable health code and food safety standards,



including proper handwashing and glove use.
- Complete assigned opening and closing cleaning checklist items.
- Report equipment issues or maintenance requirements to the Store Supervisor.

Teamwork & Communication

- Work collaboratively with other Team Members, particularly during busy periods.
- Follow instructions and priorities established by the Store Supervisor.
- Communicate availability and shift-swap requests in advance in accordance with company policy.
- Support the training of current Team Members as required.
- Perform additional duties as business needs require.

Required Qualifications

- Previous customer service, retail, or food service experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Food Handler Certification, or willingness to obtain it within the required timeframe.
- Comfortable using a POS system.
- Basic math skills and cash-handling accuracy.
- Legally entitled to work in Canada.
- Must meet applicable provincial employment standards regarding minimum age.

Physical Requirements

- Ability to stand for extended periods during shifts.
- Ability to lift and carry up to approximately 25–30 lbs, including product cases and packaging.

Pay: From $17.60 per hour
