We are seeking a skilled Level 2 HVAC-R Technician to join our team.

Responsibilities

- Install, maintain, and repair commercial HVAC-R systems, including ice machines, reach-in coolers, freezers, walk-in units, and rooftop air conditioners.
- Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to diagnose and resolve electrical/mechanical issues.
- Conduct routine preventative maintenance inspections to identify potential system failures or inefficiencies.
- Perform specialized refrigeration plumbing, brazing/welding, and light structural modifications for equipment installs.
- Troubleshoot and service digital components, microprocessors, and electronic control boards.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with the boss.
- Maintain an organized service vehicle, clean job site, and strictly adhere to company safety standards.
- Weekend (Saturday and Sunday) on-call availability is required.

Qualifications

- 2nd Year+ Apprentice or Red Seal Journeyman Refrigeration Technician with active SkilledTradesBC registration and proven hands-on commercial experience.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience servicing commercial ice machines, walk-in coolers/freezers, and digital system controllers.




- Proficient in brazing, refrigeration piping, basic construction, reading schematics, and electrical troubleshooting.
- Ability to lift up to 80 lbs, climb ladders, and perform physically demanding work in varied environments.
- Valid BC Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean driving record. Must currently reside in Vancouver, Burnaby, Coquitlam, or New Westminster to support local dispatch times.
- Exceptionally patient, adaptable, and comfortable operating under complete direct supervision. MUST be exceptionally capable of strictly executing any sudden, changing or dynamic instructions without any form of pushback.
