THE ROLE – MAINTENANCE PLANNER

Browning Harvey Ltd.’s St. John’s facility is currently looking for a full time, permanent employee in the role of Maintenance Planner. This position will require the successful candidate to support the Maintenance team in the following areas:

- Maintaining safe operation of plant equipment.
- Maximizing plant reliability.
- Reducing equipment downtime.
- Increasing production line efficiencies.

The core responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

- Manage and administer the Plant Maintenance program.
- Management of Work-orders.
- Tracking work performance.
- Management of spare parts inventory.
- Ordering of all parts.
- Coordinating contractor activities.
- Issuing and approving purchase orders.
- Maintenance team supervision as required.
- Supporting capital project.
- AutoCad drawings as required.

THE CANDIDATE

The ideal candidate will have the following:

- Completion of a post-secondary degree, or a diploma program in engineering, technology or skilled trades.
- Possess several years of experience in an automated industrial setting.
- Experience in a plant maintenance environment would be considered an asset.




- Proficiency in utilizing computers and other technology.
- Superior oral, written, interpersonal and communication skills.

- Technical skills relating to mechanical/electrical equipment and automation.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, critical thinking and decision-making skills.
