Summary

The Continuous Improvement Coordinator will support operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives across CMB driving measurable improvements. This role is responsible for translating business priorities into practical improvement plans, deploying Lean and problem-solving methodologies, optimizing processes, and strengthening CMB’s continuous improvement culture. The position partners closely with cross-functional teams to implement sustainable solutions and improve performance through data-driven insights.

Responsibilities

- Support the deployment and sustainment of continuous improvement initiatives such as 5S, workflow improvements, standardization, visual management, and other Lean/CI activities focused on quality, productivity, waste reduction, and operational effectiveness.
- Establish follow-up plans, accountability routines, sustainment audits, and control mechanisms to ensure improvements are adopted and maintained Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA).
- Plan and facilitate improvement events, workshops,



and training sessions that build capability, improve process performance, and support organizational strategy.
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement by enabling teams through structured methodologies, standard work, coaching, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Develop, maintain, and review KPIs, dashboards, and performance metrics to measure operational efficiency, project impact, and progress against improvement targets.

Qualifications

- Post-secondary degree/diploma in Business, Engineering, or Operations is an asset (equivalent hands-on experience considered).
- Approximately 2-5 years of relevant experience in quality, manufacturing, operations, process improvement, or a related environment.
- Knowledge of Lean, structured problem solving, daily management systems, value stream improvement, and change management principles.
- Background in manufacturing, steel, construction, or building materials is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal, listening, facilitation, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage audiences from manufacturing teams to leadership.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and maintain effective relationships across organization.
- Strong organizational, planning, and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

****Compensation: The anticipated base annual range for this role is $60,000-$70,000. Actual base annual range offered within this range may differ based on a range of factors, including individual experience, education, skills, and organizational needs.

Pay: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
